What Kind of photographer are you?
I'm a lifestyle family photographer, and my specialty is capturing photos that tell your family's story. We keep it light and fun, let the kids be kids, and come away with amazing images. I am also happy to provide headshots, branding photos, and more, all geared towards helping you tell your personal story with natural fun photos. Where will my session be held?
I started as a natural light photographer, so all of my sessions were held outside! However I am happy to be able to offer outdoor and indoor sessions as of Fall 2023. I have excellent outdoor locations in the Nashville area, and I can also shoot in your home or in my studio.
How long will my session be?
Full sessions typically range from 45 minutes to an hour, but may run a little longer! As a parent I know it's tricky to keep kids engaged for long stretches, and my goal is to make this as easy as possible for you and your family!
Mini sessions are 10-20 minutes long. You'll be amazed at how many great images we come away with in the time it takes to watch a couple episodes of Bluey.
What will my session be like?
Your session will be laid back, fun, and probably a little silly. I know it can feel awkward to be in front of the camera! I’ll help put you and your family in the right positions to get incredible, natural feeling photos. We will do a mix of posed photos, natural action, and I’ll also be ready for any spontaneous moments that arise. Your session will not be forced feeling where everyone is staring at the camera in awkward positions and pretending to smile!
What should I wear?
I want you to be comfortable, and it really helps if you feel great in what you’re wearing. I recommend choosing something you love and using that color palette to coordinate what your family will wear. This works much better than having everyone match. Generally lighter colors work great in outdoor environments, and for indoor photography it will depend on our location! Less is more when it comes to patterns! If your kid throws a tantrum and wants to wear a ninja costume, no sweat. It’s okay to let your kiddos express themselves by wearing something they love.
Will I get the digital photos from my session?
Yes! For full family sessions you will get 15 high resolution digital photos in color and black and white with the option to purchase the whole gallery or additional photos when your gallery is delivered.
For mini sessions you will get 5 high resolution digital photos and have the option to buy the full gallery or additional photos when your gallery is delivered!
How can I order prints and products from you?
You can order prints and products directly from your personal gallery! I stand behind the quality from the professional printing labs I’ve partnered with that are linked on my site. Of course, you can use your digital files to order prints from other sources, if you prefer.
